Back to Ojiya

At 7.35 this evening I'll be departing Heathrow Airport bound for Narita Airport, first time I've done a night flight to Japan.
Anticipate that I'll be arriving in Ojiya around 7pm on Wednesday evening and then heading up into the mountains Thursday to catch up with what's been going on.
By now breeders will have started the culling of fry that were spawned at the beginning of of June so there will be daily action.
Be sure to check back over the coming days.

I have been missing your daily blogs and photos. Looking forward to your return. Safe travels back to Ojiya.
Thanks for the comments, having blogged what seems almost daily for what seems like forever it has seemed strange not to.
I arrived back in the UK on the evening of the 17th June, 26 days ago. This is the longest time I've spent in the UK since I left on 28th December 2007 by a long way.
It is over 1 month since I was last in Ojiya, Yamakoshi, et al., again the longest time I've been away since 28th December 2007 and when you consider I was in Japan from something like 1st October 2007 to 15th November the time in Japan is really stacking up.
This return to Japan is however going to be my shortest since October 2007 as I'll be back in Europe for the NVN Show in Holland and then back in the UK for the SE Show the week after.
The month I've been away is actually a rather quiet time in Yamakoshi, the fry spawned in June have just been left to grow in the mud ponds awaiting their first cull, something i'm looking forward to going head first into as soon as I'm back.
As I type this less than 1 hour left until I incarcerate myself in a flying tin can for 12 hours or so, roll on Ojiya, looking forward to being back, sadly not with the world cup I'd hoped for when I left.
Cheers
Mark
Oh Yeees !! it's over with getting bored when I come home from work :-)
Mark,
Good to have you back in Japan - been kinda quiet with no Niigata-Nishikigoi to read daily.
