A day with 't Vingeling - 2nd stop Satoshi Tanaka, 3rd stop Takahashi

When I visited Satoshi Tanaka for the first time last week - http://www.niigata-nishikigoi.com/node/682 - I spent so long trying to get a decent picture of the tosai Doitsu Ochiba that I really didn't pay much attention to the other 2 ponds containing nisai. Looking in them today I was pleasantly surprised at the mix of Koi available and the quality of some of them.
Johan and Aty purchased the 10 Koi pictured below, it would have been quite easy to put together some more boxes. One particular Ginrin Showa kept catching my eye, it turned out it was a winner at the 2008 Niigata Nogyosai. I'm quite sure these Koi will soon find happy owners. The Kindai Showa at the top of the second picture was my personal favourite.
From Satoshi Tanaka we made the short drive to Takahashi to again have a look at the mix of tosai available before taking lunch and heading back towards Ojiya.
