Landslide victory

Posted 5 Feb 2010 - 10:38 by Mark Gardner

For the first time I've ever known at a Koi show in Japan the Grand Champion prize was decided on the single vote with one Koi taking the majority of votes.

This year, with a total of 45 out of 85 votes in the first ballot, Dainichi Koi Farm was awarded the Grand Champion prize for their 99cm Kohaku.

Which Koi came second to this Mark?

Runner up

Ricky

I don't have any idea at the moment of the actual votes in the first ballot other than the total the Dainichi Kohaku received.

I believe purely on the Koi that have moved this afternoon that the Omosako Showa took the Jumbo Koi Division award, effectively runner up.

Nogami took the 90bu Kokugyo award.

Runner Up

 Thanks Mark

That's still a great achievement for Nogami san!

Do you know where the Dainichi Kohaku has been grow? Was it at the Dainichi farm or Narita?

Thanks, Ricky

Dainichi Kohaku

Ricky

The Dainichi Kohaku has been a Narita for a number of years I believe.
