Hide Hirasawa nisai Doitsu

Whilst at Torazo Hide called to ask whether I could take some pictures of some of his special Doitsu that had been harvested, of course no problem, although of course there was plenty of ribbing about there being no such thing as a special Doitsu-goi.
First up was this Doitsu Showa, very interesting indeed, and likely to be going to the Nogyosai Show at the end of the month, male of around 35cm.
Likewise this Sandan Doitsu Kohaku will also be going.
As I mentioned when Torazo harvested his tosai, on Kohaku I favour interesting patterns - http://www.niigata-nishikigoi.com/node/525. Doitsu Kohaku particularly lend themsleves to interesting, 'wavy', patterns. There were plenty of such amongst Hide's tosai.
I actually did something I wasn't sure I'd ever do whilst at Hide's, and given everything at Torazo's sansai harvest was well out of my prize range, I purchased this Doitsu Kohaku, I found it's pattern very appealing. The picture is actually flipped 180 degrees, i.e. it's tail was to the camera, so you can really tell anything but the pattern.

Very nice Koi, you'll have to buy an aquarium for your apartment now!!
