Showa

I arrived the at lower Shintaro tosai house this morning as Saito-san was due to sort through a couple of the ponds of the lower grade tosai today, removing any that had gone bad and segregate the Showa from the Kohaku and Sanke, as they were all mixed in together.
It was also to be the first outing of my new 'video booth', sadly strong winds overnight proved that the clips holding the cover on were not strong enough. Ideally I need to get a simple cover made from material. I just need to find someone with a sewing machine!
I got engrossed in sorting the Koi and forgot to pick my camera up to take more pictures. Whilst not as large, not the quality, of those that reside in the main tosai house there are certainly some very nice examples.
After lunch I made my way back home and found out that Rob from Ornafish and his party from Holland had a 2pm appointment at Dainichi to see some higher grade tosai than on Saturday.
Having selected 10 pieces for further consideration Shigeru Mano went through them to sex them. Whilst he couldn't be definite he was 80% confident all were female.
Jos elected to purchase 2 of the tosai, pictured below. The top one was my personal favourite from the 10 selected. Both going to the Netherlands soon.
