Remembering the tragedy of 11th March 2011

It's hard to believe that the tragedy that unfolded on the east coast of Japan on 11th March 2011 is almost a year ago. I shall never forget the drama that we witnessed unfolding in front of us on Japanese TV when I was with Josef Bertram, you can see that below.
Likewise I will never forget my 3 visits to the disaster zone and the enormous generosity shown by so many visitors to Niigata-Nishikigoi.com.
One of the projects I'd would have loved to have kicked off was to equip some of the kids affected by the disaster with cameras to record their experience, sadly it never happened.
I was interested to see an article on the news this evening where they did just that, see - http://www.kidsphotojournal.org.
Tomorrow sees the publication of the book of their photos, hoping I can locate a copy in Niigata somewhere. As Saito san said to me, expect it to cause you to shed a tear, I shed many at the time that's for sure.
EDIT
The book is listed on Amazon Japan here - http://www.amazon.co.jp/dp/4062172798/ref=cm_sw_r_fa_dp_atmrpb0D99C0C - if anyone interested in ordering.
