Filmed during the course of October and November 2010 in Niigata, 'Harvest time in Niigata' provides a fascinating insight into the busiest of seasons for the Nishikigoi breeders of the area.

During its 2 hour run time the DVD features some of the best harvests that occur at this time with some of Japan's finest Nishikigoi including:

Scheduled for release at the end of June, 'Koi tour of Indonesia - a land of contrast' is now available for pre-order at the special price of £15 for standard definition DVD or £20 for high definition Blu-ray, a saving of £5 off of the recommended retail prices of £20 and £25 respectively.

The full DVD contains:

  • Visits to the breeding areas of Sakabumi and Blitar to see the facilities in use and get an understanding of their dreams and aspirations
  • Visits to 7 hobbyist Koi ponds
  • Visits to some of Indonesia's leading dealers including Samurai Koi, Golden Koi, Jakarta Koi Centre and by contrast visit the street markets which sell much of the locally produced Koi

The Indonesian Koi hobby and industry truly is one of contrasts, like the country itself.  Viewers will see some of the finest Koi ever exported from Japan as well as meet the local farmers trying to emulate the success of the Japanese, albeit it several generations behind.
